EURO HEADLIGHT CONVERSION WIRING ADAPTOR / HARDWARE KIT FOR R107 LATE MODEL

Euro headlight wiring adaptor and mounting hardware kit for R107 Late model USA spec cars. This set is needed if you currently have USA spec late model R107 and want to install Euro spec headlights. The Euro headlight install on Late model R107 is not simply plug and play as on USA spec Early model R107 cars. Some very simple mods are needed because Late model R107 cars had 4 Hi-beam lights instead of the Early model R107 which had only 2 Hi-beam lights. Set includes the needed parts for both left and right side. These are brand new aftermarket and original MB parts Mounting:1. Remove the negative lead from the cars battery to prevent any possible electrical mishaps 2. Use good quality paper masking tape around the headlights to prevent any scratching of the fenders. 3. Unbolt the USA spec headlights from the car and pull them out. 4. Remove the 6 pin and 4 pin and 1 pin round wiring connectors from the USA spec headlights. 5. Remove the USA spec headlights and place them somewhere safe. 6. Remove the USA spec under bumper box or banana shaped turn indicators (this will eliminate the 4 pin plug from the game). 7. We are now left with only the 6 pin plug and the one pin round plug on each side. 8. Now open up the 6 pin plugs plastic housing. 9. Look at the open plug from the inside so that the wires are coming in from the lower side and the housings hinge is at the top. 10. You should see a white wire with red stripe in the lower left corner. 11. Remove this wire from the plug housing. 12. Insulate this wire with electrical insulation tape as it will no longer be used. 13. Install the CEP wiring adaptors 90 degree end female pin in the location from where you just removed the white wire with red stripe. 14. Close the 6 pin plastic plug housing. 15. Plug the CEP wiring adaptors male end in the round single plug with brown wire coming from the car. 16. Install the white plastic pins from the CEP kit in the fenders flange top hole between the headlight and Euro turn indicator recess so the pins longest non spliced end looks away from the center of the car. 17. Plug the Euro headlights to the cars 6 pin plugs. 18. Looks strange but only 5 pins are used on each plug with the top left spot (looking from open plugs inside- wires coming in the plug from the bottom and hinge being at the top) being left blank. 19. Bolt the Euro headlights to the car. Some silicone or vaseline grease is possibly a good idea on the new seals. 20. Now we have the very much needed ground coming to the Euro headlights and they should be fully functional once you have reconnected the battery.
